Cancellation Policy & Options

Life can be unpredictable, and I understand that emergencies happen and family needs come first. However, appointment times are reserved especially for you, and last-minute cancellations make it difficult to accommodate other patients who may be waiting.

Standard Cancellations

If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible through the Jane app (link below).

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee will be charged.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: The full appointment fee will be charged. This fee cannot be billed to insurance, as that is against insurance policy regulations.

Options Within the 24-hour Window

Because life happens—kids get sick, cars break down, weather turns bad—I offer a few options to help you avoid the cancellation fee within that 24-hour window:

  • Shortened appointments – If time constraints are the issue, a shorter visit may be arranged.

  • Patient substitutions – You may send someone else to take your appointment time with prior approval. If your substitute does not attend or does not pay, you will remain responsible for the full appointment fee. Email me at hopeandhealingacu@hotmail.com to confirm this change

Frequent Cancellations

Patients who cancel more often than they attend appointments may lose the ability to reserve regular appointment times and will instead be placed on the waitlist for future bookings.
